About The New Theatre
The New Theatre was founded in 1997 by Anthony Fox and Leanne Willars. Robert Lane designed and directed the first three shows.

In 1999 Ronan Wilmot came on board as Joint Artistic Director.

Shortly afterwards Fiona Hurley, Mannix Mc Phillips, Maedhbh McCullagh and Carmel White joined The New Theatre team bringing with them enthusiasm, experience and talent in various areas.

Recently David McConnell became the theatre's Finance Manager.

Our board has new members namely, Eddie Lennon, Nicholas Cummins and Phelim Donlon.

Wallace Construction in partnership with Connolly Books and The New Theatre have collaborated in launching a brand new, state of the art venue which opened in February 2007, celebrating 10 years of The New Theatre.

In February 2008 Lisa Krugel was appointed as Theatre Manager of The New Theatre. Lisa, who hails from West Cork, has been associated with The New Theatre in various capacities for some years now.
